"It's the story of a life"
This play is about three scientists who led lives as complicated as the physics they investigated. It's impossible to understand exactly who they were or why they did what they did - but maybe that's the point. What would a historian learn about you by reading your letters in an archive, or by analysing your life's work?
Each of the characters in the play played a crucial role in the discovery of nuclear fission - a chain reaction involved in the explosion of an atomic bomb.
